    • the question that must be asked of the government is why it delayed lockdown until the virus was so widespread, and impossible to contain.
The response to this second wave is the exact opposite to what was done in the spring with such success. Then, the government declared we are putting human lives at greater importance than our economy, and locked down early and quickly. The economy suffered, but many many human lives were saved.
This fall, the government declared we are putting the economy ahead of human lives and refused lockdown as the coronavirus numbers kept climbing. The end result is the worst possible one which we are in now, a late lockdown where many many people are dying each day as the economy suffers.
Why, after such a successful strategy in the spring that brought attention and praise from countries around the world, would you do the exact opposite just months later… at an unbearable cost.

      • The answer is that an intelligent person (and some colleagues) decided on the first lockdown. The second one was determined by idiots in the government and some ministries. They are also the ones who decided that it would be a clever idea last summer to bring in young tourists and open up the night clubs for them to spread the virus more efficiently.

Clever people do clever things; malakes do malakia.

        • That’s the thing. Without the tourists bringing it back here we would be pretty much living normal life without a care in the world. Now we’re stuck on lockdown that doesn’t help one bit because it was started way way too late.
