Greece’s health authorities announced on Tuesday 111 deaths in past 24 hours and 2,199 new coronavirus cases. The number of Covid-19 patients intubated in hospital ICUs stands at 596.

The number of daily infections seems to have been “corrected” on Tuesday as more tests – average 21,000 – were carried out in the past 24 hours and in comparison to the weekend.
The number of intubated patients has decreased compared to last week, however, not significantly. It should be noted that the National Health Organization EODY does not give information about the new daily intubations or the number of intubated patients who died.
At the same time, the number of fatalities remain high, 100 on the average since over a week.
At the same time, the number of intubations remain high and so does the number of daily fatalities.
In November alone, 1,780 Covid-patients lost their life, while the infections reach 66,020.
The situation of hospitals in northern Greece remains difficult with intubated patients to be treated outside the ICUs.
