A gang of minors has been terrorizing and bulling a transgender person with the tolerance of the parents and the small community of Skala Sykamias on the island of Lesvos.
The gang consisting of minors among them also 12- and 13-year-old boys and girls has broken into Dimitra’s house several times with the latest one through the window on the second Christmas day.
The minors humiliate, intimidate and use violence against the vulnerable person that desperately tries to defend herself. They film their despicable actions with their mobile phones and they upload the videos on internet bragging about their shameful ‘achievements.”
The bullying of vulnerable Dimitra by the group of local minors was made known by local media stonisi that reported about it on Monday.
The website also posted one of the videos the young monsters had uploaded on social media where they are heard cheering and laughing. StN posted the footage with the note: “The video is made public in order to understand the magnitude of the violence against a different and vulnerable person. Facts is that there are serious violations of the Penal Code but also of the rules of humanity and coexistence.”
Later the website removed the video after several commentators criticized that the video was showing that a vulnerable person was being terrorized and humiliated.
Among those demanding the removal of the video was the Proud Seniors Greece, a support group for LGBT+ over 50 years old.
The Proud Seniors Greece wrote that the video showed “barbaric acts of violence, intimidation and humiliation. The incident recorded in this video is a blatant violation of every notion of human dignity to which every human being has a right.” Dimitra is a mentally ill person in need of hospitalization and care, the Group added..
The issue has been known to the small community of Skala Sykamias. Citing locals, stonisi notes: “Residents of the area talk about very strained relations between the two sides which on the part of minors have the characteristics of a vendetta.”
However, even if the case is known in the area, nobody including the children’s parents has done anything so far to stop the barbarism against a vulnerable person, victim to a gang of youngsters.
Following the report by StN, police authorities and the Prosecutor reportedly finally moved and were about to start looking closer on the case.
The Proud Seniors Group said that they make every effort so that Dimitra receives the necessary support and the necessary medical and psychological help. “Police and social services are going to the area,” the group added.
PS One father takes his 14-year-old son to attack a facility for unaccompanied refugee children, a gang of minors terrorizes a vulnerable and “different” person. What can we say? The society is getting sicker and a generation of parents raise a generation of savages?
So utterly disgusting and inhuman! If the parents knows and do nothing they are just as guilty as these little bandits! Kids sometime do things that are very wrong just because they dont know better but their parents cant be excused! They should know better! Sometimes I wish that “bodily” punishment still existed, like the wip…..
As a Greek I am very ashamed at this. I do not agree with lgbt lifestyle but I say live and let live.

What a hypocrite you are! You “do not agree” with LGBT lifestyle, so what’s your problem? Do those people do you any harm or interfere with your cosy heterosexual lifestyle? Shame on you!

P.s.-2: Greeks are always so proud about the fact that their ancestors brought culture, democracy and language to the rest of Europe, but when we look at your country’s current ability to be tolerant towards ‘different’ people, you still live in the Middle Ages.
Its not actually for anyone to agree or not agree on another persons life style as long as that person,persons to whom you refer do no harm to others in any way what so ever whilst living that ..life style..as you call it.Everybody has a life style and no one asks you to agree,its not your right.
And one does get so tired of…we the great Greeks founded the roots of normal society,we founded the democratic society,its all down to us,no one did it before us.. its necessary to tell my husband most days to open a book and read about other ancient sociieties/civilisations before the Great Greeks,we love the Great Greeks but they were not,are not, the be all,end all,merely a cog on the wheel of the history of humans on this planet.
