Greece’s health authorities announced on Friday 6,201 new coronavirus cases and 97 Covid-related deaths in the past 24 hours.The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals has decreased to 694.
Health authorities announced on Friday evening that the booster shot is scheduled 3 months after the 2nd dose of vaccines against Covid-19. Eligibile are all residents in Greece aged over 18 years old. More details incl platform opening for appointments here.

694 Covid-patients are on ventilators in hospitals from 704 a day earlier. Their median age is 65 years , 62% are men. 80.3% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total in intubation, 549 (79.11%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 145 (20.89%) are fully vaccinated.

3,544 Covid-patients have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
422 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: -6,84%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 449.
The median age of new infections is 38 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 78 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
