Greece’s health authorities announced on Sunday 12,462 coronavirus cases and 44 deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients has decreased to 346.

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 2,788,654 infections (daily change: +0.4%). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 177 infections are related to travel from abroad and 1,685 to other confirmed cases.
Rolling average 21,860 from 18,171 last week.
44 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours brought the total of pandemic victims to 26,937. Of these, 95.2% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.
346 patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 69 years, 63.3% are men and 90.8% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total in ventilation, 218 (63.01%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 128 (36.99%) are fully vaccinated.
4,396 have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
346 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: -6.99%). The average daily admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 328.
The median age of new infections is 36 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 79 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
