Covid-deaths in Greece pass 30,000 milestone; 4,539 new coronavirus cases; distribution

Covid-deaths in Greece passed the 30,000 milestone on Saturday after 15 deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours. Health authorities announced also 4,539 coronavirus cases confirmed in the same period of time, whil the number of intubated Covid-patients in ICUs stands at 109 from 110  day earlier.

According to the National Public Health Organization (EODY) all confirmed infections recorded since the start of the pandemic are 3,496,807 (daily change: +0.1%).

Of the total 4,539 infections on Saturday, reinfections are estimated at 568 in the last 24 hours, while their total since the pandemic began is estimated at 141,273 (3.9% of the total positive results).

Tests past 24 hours: PCR: 26,085, RAPID: 69,400) Positivity PCR+Rapid: 4,75%.

Coronavirus infections rolling average: 4,114 from 3,543 the previous week.

15 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of pandemic victims to 30,012. Of these, 95.6% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.

109 patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 69 years and 92.7% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.

Of the total, 52 (47.71%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 57 (52.29%) are fully vaccinated.

4,699 Covid-patients have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.

97 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: +12.79%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 91.

The median age of new infections is 37 years (range: 0.2 to 112 years), while the median age of the deceased is 80 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
