The film “Greece DOES have a Winter” produced for the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) Visit Greece campaign is candidate for the World’s Best Tourism Film at CIFFT “People’s Choice” Award 2022, GNTO Secretary General Dimitris Fragakis posted on social media on Tuesday.
According to film producers, main goal of this film is to announce to people that Greece, a country that is very well known for the endless summer, its sunshine, its islands and lovely beaches, it also has amazing landscapes and winter wonderlands, a rich mainland to discover, with breathtaking mountains, charming lakes and rivers, picturesque villages and delicious local treats!
Apart from the sunny part of Greece, we need to make clear that there is also a snowy side of Greece.
“I am very proud of this campaign! It is the first time that such an effort to promote winter tourism has been made. Our goal is for Greece to start entering the spectrum of European winter destinations. We want to show that Greece also has a winter and that it’s worth traveling here to experience it,” Fragakis said.
