Ferries to Cyclades docked due to powerful winds in the Aegean

Ferries for the Cyclades islands remained docked at the ports of Piraeus, Farina and Lavrio on Friday morning due to stormy winds blowing in several areas of the Aegean Sea.

According to a warning issued by the National Meteorological Service EMY for the marine traffic, wind intensity reaches locally up to 9 Beaufort.

Winds are forecast to gradually ease as from the afternoon.

Ferries and ships from the port of Piraeus to the islands of the Saronic Gulf operate as usually.

If you plan to travel by sea, please, check with local port authorities and travel agents.
