A storm ALERT message via the 112 emergency line was sent to the residents of Samos, Ikaria and the Dodecanese on Sunday afternoon, November 6, 2022.
The ALERT message warned them of dangerous weather phenomena (strong storms) from noon Sunday, until Monday morning, November 7.
The message reads:
“Dangerous weather phenomena (strong storms) from midday today until the morning hours tomorrow in Samos, Ikaria, Dodecanese. Limit your movements and follow the instructions of the authorities.”

EMY UPDATES WEATHER WARNING
The National Meteorological Service EMY updated its RED ALERT WEATHER WARNING forecasting for Sunday, Nov 6:
Heavy rainfalls and storms with high frequency of lightning and winds blowing 7-8 Beaufort in
a) until noon in the Ionian Sea,
b) until the afternoon on the mainland (except Thrace),
c) from the morning hours in the Cyclades, western Crete and Sporades
d) from noon in the Eastern Aegean Sea, from the area Samos-Ikaria and further south and from the early afternoon at the Dodecanese.
