Several stations of Metro Line 2 to close earlier Jan 11-Feb 21

Work to replace the rails and install a 5G network on the Athens metro will continue on the Syggrou Fix-Neos Kosmos-Agios Ioannis section of Line 2, leading to temporary changes in the train schedules and early closure of these stations between Sunday, January 11 and until February 21, 2026.

The stations will shut before 22:00 each night, two hours sooner than usual, while the last trains toward Elliniko will depart between 21:40 from Syntagma and 21:47 from Dafni and the last trains to Anthoupoli will depart at 21:48 from Dafni, 21:50 from Agios Ioannis, 21:51 from Neos Kosmos, 21:53 from Syggrou Fix and 21:54 from Acropolis.

The temporary circular bus line X10 from Syntagma to Dafni Station, starting on Amalias Avenue at the Zappion stop, will serve passengers affected by the changes, stopping near the closed stations along its route, while STASY has also increased the frequency of trams on Line 6 (Syntagma-Neos Kosmos) after 21:30.
