Greek FinMin Venizelos: “Some Do Not Want Us Within the Euro Zone”

For one more time,  Greek Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos used a dramatic tone to describe the bad atmosphere towards Greece “Unfortunately there are many that do not want us within the euro zone” Venizelos told President Karolos Papoulias at a meeting on wEdnsday noon and added that  “We must convince them that we can manage, for the next generations, for our children.”

Venizelos said further:

“The country is on the knife’s edge . We try to reach an agreement down to the last detail about the new loan agreement.

This is very difficult. At home and abroad,  many play with fire. Some with torches and others with matches. At any case the risk is great. The dilemma is sacrifices and cuts or national catastrophe.

We have to say the whole truth to the Greek people, why we got at this point.”

Waiting Venizelos to finally say the whole truth,

With Best Regards

  1. 15/2/2012 Reuters: Euro zone proposal look at delaying bailout
    Euro zone finance officials are examining ways of delaying parts or even all of the second bailout programme for Greece while still avoiding a disorderly default, according to EU sources. And they want to wait until after the elections in April. I guess our guys made the wrong vote Sunday. Oh yeah what about the bonds on March 20th? I guess it doesn’t matter now. :{

  2. Nice letter. I think you should default now, screw the IMF and those french and german nazi bankers and leave the euro, saving your country and your dignity. Argentina defaulted in 2002 and it proved the best thing they could have ever done, leaving them a lot better off. Clearly it’s a painful step, but staying in the euro and complying with those nazis, will surely be a lot worse. I believe that the politicians who signed this deal should now be punished severely as traitors of your country. Now, it will be your call to punish these bastards in the incoming elections. As we use to say, “¡El pueblo unido, jamás será vencido!”. Good Luck and greetings from South America.
