The spike of new cases on Friday, forced the Greek government to impose new restrictions in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus in the Country. In an extraordinary live streaming on Friday evening, head of Greek Civil Protection and Deputy Minister for Crisis Management Nikos Hardalias announced a series of measures most of the be be in force all through the month of August 2020.
The new measures will be imposed following proposals and consultation with the Committee of experts at the Health Ministry.
The most important measure is that the mandatory use of mask extends to all enclosed places, including churches.
It is the first time since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country that the use of masks becomes mandatory in churches.

So how come there was a massive party in Kournas Crete last week. Over 1200 present?
August 1-31: Traffic restrictions for residents Reception and Identification Centers and in the structures of any kind of the country is extended, until the 31st of August
What is this suppose to mean?
refers to refugee/migrants centers.
So what about September are the rules still the same.
All they had to do is not open the borders. That is literally all. the tourist season was already lost, nobody is gonna turn profit anyway so why let anyone bring the virus here after we successfully stomped it already
Because the world can’t stop and people have to live and work.
Other EU citizens also have to present a negative PCR test (e.g hungarians) at Promachonas, although they don’t have to present one if they fly. It’s a massive extra cost and greek authorities don’t even take a look on the test results at Promachonas border station which is even more frustrating that they make us trash 100€ per person per test and a lot of time to take a test and then don’t give a flying duck about the presented results. Explain this please, what’s the point to make people do expensive tests if you don’t even take a look and randomly test them at site? What guarantee does a 72 hour negative test give to Greece which is taken BEFORE travelling through Serbia and Bulgaria, so taken at the same point in time and place from where the flights departure? I don’t get it.
