Thousands of starlings are currently seen along the coastal road between Napflio and Nea Kios in north-eastern Peloponnese. They fly at sunset, accompanied by a loud crackling noise along with the sound of their wings.
Forming a huge mass, the birds fly incredible maneuvers in the air, over an area of a few square kilometers, along the coastal road and eventually they all rest in the reeds of the wetland at the delta of Inahos river.
In winter the starlings live in southern Europe and Asia.
They migrate to Greece in October and November as this season is the most suitable for the starlings as they like neither the heat nor the cold.
Argolida in eastern Peloponnese has mild temperatures at this time of the year.

The imposition of entry to Greece only with Covid PCR whilst protecting the Country will devastate what’s left of Tourism season. Mine cost £130 and having spoken to friend who visits Greece every year with his wife & 3 sons intimated he was not prepared to pay for PCR for each of Family and won’t return to Greece. This will be the opinion of many Tourists especially when it does not offer any protection of catching & spreading the Virus in Greece.
hm… starlings come in without PCR test. or misplaced comment?
Totally mispalced in every way! NO country can give total protection from covid these days. Not even Britain or Scotland!
Not even Scotland?! My dear, we are all lost now, -and the starlings together with us.
If we make every starling pay 100€, the tourism season is saved, -once again
A lot of countries are already demanding it. Even the UK from December 15. So if you don’t want it … Holiday in the UK is al what’s left
