Greece health authorities announced on Friday 6,862 coronavirus cases and 55 deaths in the past 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals has slightly increased to 508.

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 821,900 coronavirus infections (daily change: +0.8%). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 129 infections are related to travel from abroad and 3,072 to other confirmed cases.
55 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, brought the total of pandemic victims to 16,616. Of these, 95.3% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.
A total of 508 patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 65 years and 82.5% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total in intubation, 423 (83.27%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 85 (16.73%) are fully vaccinated.

3,391 have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
