Greece’s health authorities announced on Wednesday 4,801 coronavirus cases and 77 Covid-related deaths in the past 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals has decreased to 683.
In the shadow of the Omicron variant, Greece announced on Wednesday evening that it introduces a mandatory negative PCR test for all travelers from all countries. There is only one exception. More details on KTG here.

683 patients are on ventilators in hospitals, from 700 a day earlier. Their median age is 64 years and 80.7% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total in intubation, 553 (80.97%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 130 (19.03%) are fully vaccinated.

353 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: +8.62%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 368.
The median age of new infections is 38 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 78 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
