Starting on July 21, 2025, Greece is implementing new cruise fees for passengers designed to manage over-tourism in popular islands and fund infrastructure improvements.
The fee charge for cruise passengers visiting Mykonos and Santorini is 20 euros during the high season – June 1 to September 30 -.
Passengers visiting other islands will be charged 5 euros.
It should be noted that the fee is charged for every port the passengers will visit.
Outside the high season all fees are reduced.
Fees charge in details
- High Season (June 1 – September 30):
- Santorini and Mykonos: €20 per passenger.
- All other Greek ports: €5 per passenger.
- Mid-Season (April 1 – May 31 & October 1 – 31):
- Santorini and Mykonos: €12 per passenger.
- All other Greek ports: €3 per passenger.
- Low Season (November 1 – March 31):
- Santorini and Mykonos: €4 per passenger.
- All other Greek ports: €1 per passenger.
It is estimated that the new fees will bring revenues of estimated 50 million euros, while 1/3 of them will go to the municipalities of the said islands.
